First of all, a big THANK YOU goes out to yuen for taking the bother to send me back home today. I know that I can be a big bother sometimes, so I feel very much blessed to have a gang of close friends who will sometimes go the extra mile for me, despite all the bullying =P

Spent my afternoon at TTDI today afta havin a late lunch at Hartamas Shopping Ctr. By the way, just for those paddington house of pancakes fans out there, the paddington house of pancakes in hartamas shoppin ctr is offerin 30% off its menu provided you order a main dish. And the offer's till tomorrow. :)

TP, Yuen and PK were working on their phy project, which i think isn't bad at all. Quite interesting =) the calculations could be a bit of a headache, though, but I enjoyed cuttin the balsa wood =D Well, good luck to them. =)

One fine day a flock of Influenza virus hovered around Taylor's College looking for a victim to infect and spotted Phoebe and thought: aha this gal hit a blue-green insect and made it curl up dat day..she shall be the next victim..muahaha. And so these microscopic viruses invaded her system, easily going through her body's non-specific immune response.But. Got caught up in her specific immune response :D

As her body detected the presence of pathogens, macrophages(Antigen Presenting Cells, APC) then ingested these bacteria, cutting them up into small small pieces and presented them on their cell surface membranes in grooves within MHC proteins via the antigen presentation process. Inside lymph nodes, APC cells then joined with T-helper and B cells, before selecting a particular T helper cell or B cell which has antibody receptors specific for the antigen. This process is called clonal selection. Selected B and T helper cells then divide themselves to form clones, and the clones of the T helper cells then secreted cytokine to stimulate the selected B cells to differentiate into B-plasma and memory cells =D

B plasma cells then secreted antibodies into the blood and lymph and coated the influenza virus, marking them for phagocytosis by neutrophils or macrophages. " NO!!" shouted the influenza virus, " we will not be defeated! We will multiply more *snigger*" And with the help of excess SULPHUR a.k.a rotten egg smell, the influenza virus became stronger...And Phoebe's body is currently producing more B- plasma and memory cells to combat these wild buggers.

Victory will be hers, in a few day's time.

Funny quotes from Insurance Claims

Go on, have a laugh =)

http://www.businessballs.com/insuranceclaims.htm
Realisation of the day:

WHEN ICE MELTS THE WATER LEVEL DOESNT CHANGE!!!!!! OMG!!!!!

Darn it. I always thought the water level will rise.......=P Gah. Gah. =P

EXPLANATION :
Floating Ice that Melts Doesn't Raise the Sea Level

Why doesn't floating ice that melts increase the sea level? By definition, anything that floats displaces its own weight in water. In other words, if the floating ice melts, the resulting water would be exactly equal to the amount of water displaced while the ice was floating. The sea level, therefore, already includes the total amount of water in all floating ice.

You can easily verify this in your own kitchen, just make a glass of ice water (to my fellow Americans with our love of ice: be sure none of the ice is grounded on the bottom of the glass!), mark the water level in the glass, then go node for a while until all the ice melts. The water level will not have changed.

And why does the sea level increases during global warming? Coz its the ICE CAPS that arent floating in d water that melts, that's why!!!!=P

Ties that bind.

Have you ever had someone close to you that you can never get him/her outta your life hurt you so badly that you build a wall up between yourself and dat fella, and after a few years, you think he/she's changed, and you knock off a few pieces of bricks and are ready to forgive he/she, only to find out that he/she is still the same and hasnt changed at all, and only to get hurt all over again. And you realize that it's goin to stay this way, and its up to you to accept it or continue with the wall thing. *shrugs*
