I have no idea why am i in such a shitty mood right now...thinking bout the pile of workload waiting for me...and that 11 phy structure questions which i'm goin to crack my skull thinkin bout how to do it...drat it. Can someone explain to me under what circumstances does the electrons get into excited state? coz i seriously dun get that part...why and when does it go into excited state. bah. crappy mood...And i think the chinese tea's working its spell...feeling extremely awake..so cant go bed and end this day. :( sighh...i am SO laggin behind in my studies...shit.

Electrons are excited when protons pass by (like how guys get excited when pretty girls pass by), especially Proton Wajas....

Ok that was lame. But seriously, electrons get excited when they are hit with energy, like a photon, which is a bundle of energy in electromagnetic form, i.e. in the form of light. An example of this is how lasers work.
How Lasers work in HowStuffWorks.comThey can also get excited through increased collisions i THINK, which can be brought about by heating the conductor. And this is how the X-ray tube works.

so while deciding on d shape of d molecules...eg tetrahedral n all...ok, for example...boron, BF3, how wud u noe that u have to take the outer shell ec where d electrons are in excited state and not take d ground state ec? hehe..thanks 4 answerin...terima kasih banyak banyak =)
